Dr. Obinna Ogbonna (PhD)
Researcher and Clinical Nutritionist.
Dr Ogbonna Obinna Chimela, born over 50yrs ago. He attended the university of Ibadan
B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD Human nutrition (Special interest Clinical nutrition)
He is a researcher as well and has published some of his research articles in some international journals
Notable among them:
1. Anthropometric based predictive equations for Nigerian women
2. Glycemic index and blood sugar response of clients on the consumption of cassava flakes (Garri)
3. Impact of covid -19 pandemic on the food consumption pattern and coping strategies of urban households in Nigeria.
He is an Associate Lecturer at the Department of Human Nutrition, University of Ibadan.
Dr Ogbonna Obinna is currently the national President of the Nigeria Union of Allied health Professionals. National Vice chairman Joint health sector unions (JOHESU). National Auditor II, Trade union Congress of Nigeria. (TUC). He is a Deputy Director Dietetics services at the Obafemi Awolowo University teaching hospital Ile Ife, Osun state. Dr Ogbonna has presented scientific papers at national and international conferences.
He is happily married to Mrs Funmilola and the marriage is blessed with Wonderful children.
Dr. Oghenefego Ofili (PhD)
Nutritionist, Behaviour Change Communication Specialist, Public Health specialist and Founder Teo-Inspiro International.
She has over 12 years of experience in the production of information, education and communication materials in the non-profit sector. She is known for championing advocacy causes and managing projects, and offering her expertise in Human Nutrition to improve quality of life in rural communities. She is a multiple degree holder including M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Human Nutrition from the prestigious University of Ibadan and a Master’s degree in Media and Communication from the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University.
Dr. Oghenefego is passionate about fixing the broken link between communication and advocacy, which is why she works as a Development Communication Specialist with both governmental and non-governmental agencies. Oghenefego has worked with organizations like Save the Children, NACA, Delta State Government, Helen Keller International, UNICEF etc.
Collins Akanno
Collins is a Nutritionist and Entrepreneur. He is the Founder of Diet234, a resource for healthy nutrition information and inspiration in Nigeria enhancing nutrition education and consultancy by adopting digital technology. He is also the convener of Communeating, a tech-enabled collaborative approach aimed at solving the challenge of hunger, malnutrition and food insecurity in Nigeria. Collins is committed to promoting nutrition to improve the prevention and treatment of disease within communities and to be implemented through policy and community action for healthcare reforms. He has a particular interest in the unending possibilities of nutrition and tech towards sustainable food security.
